1997年に収録された、チェン・ゼン（Chen Zhen, 1955-2000）の貴重なインタビュー。

当時パリを拠点に活動していたチェン・ゼン。CCA北九州に滞在し、ギャラリープロジェクト「佛倒／福到」と、アーティスト・ブック「融超経験（Trans-experiences）」を発表した。

急速な近代化を遂げる祖国・中国への複雑な視線と、ヨーロッパから見たアジア。彼がインタビューの中で提示した「永遠の誤解」というコンセプトは、分断が進む現代に生きる私たちにも、異文化と向き合う意味とその行く先を問いかける。

During his stay at CCA Kitakyushu, the Paris based artist presented the gallery project “Fu Dao / Fu Dao: upside-down Buddha / arrival at good fortune” and his artist book “Transexperineces.”

Reflecting on the rapid transformation of his homeland, China, and his life in Europe, Chen Zhen introduced the idea of “Eternal Misunderstanding.” His vision remains a powerful call to action, questioning our readiness to truly face cultural differences in a fragmented age.
