Mizuki Takahashi is currently working as a senior curator Contemporary Art Center, Art Tower Mito. Prior to her current position at Art Tower Mito, Takahashi worked as a founding staff of Mori Art Museum in Tokyo. Addressing subjects including cultural diffusion between West and Asia, gender, cultural politics and urgent social matter, Takahashi has realized the exhibitions of various contemporary cultures from manga, architecture, performance, film, music and visual art. Her curated exhibitions in and outside Japan including “Archigram: Experimental Architecture 1961 – 1974” (2005), , “8 Days : Beuys in Japan” (2009), “Quiet Attentions: Departure from Women” (2011), and “Tadasu Takamine’s Cool Japan” (2012), “Darren Almond Second Thoughts” (2013). Her essay about Joseh Beuys in Japan is included into Freemdbilder-Selbstbilder. Paradigmen japanisch-deutscher Wahnehmung 1861-2011 ( published by Harrassowitz, Wiesbaden, 2013).
