CCA Kitakyushu presented “VOID”, an exhibition that explores the notion of void in terms of the contemporary city and society.
Void is latent throughout the city structure that is increasingly overcrowded. Sometimes suddenly, sometimes being buried, it exists as a hypothetical field in the change of the city where density is raised in chaos and order. Through various approaches such as art, urbanism, architecture, photography and sound, the exhibition investigates the meaning and existence of void in cities and societies in transition.
“VOID” was developed at Void Archive, which was open at CCA Project Gallery from March 18 to April 26, 2002
