Russell Haswell creates sound freed from any instruments and categories, mainly using a computer system, and has presented the works not only in concert environment and CD release, but also in art exhibition context. His exploration never be limited to sound only, and has also presented conceptual and sculptural works using various medias such as video and objects. He has also worked on many collaborative projects with sound and visual artists. Haswell also involved with a research project with Florian Hecker, using a sound system invented by Iannis Xenakis.
