Luc Steels

Luc Steels studied philosophy and linguistics at the University Antwerp, and computer science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 1983, Steels founded the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at the University of Brussels (VUB) where he is currently served as a director. Steels also founded the Sony Computer Science Laboratory in Paris and was the founding director. His research focuses on a various intelligent abilities in relation to Artificial Intelligence, such as vision, robotic behavior, conceptual representations and language.
