Marina Abramovic was born in Belgrade in 1946, and is well know for her works focusing on performance. Pursuing relationship between the bounds of body and the possibility of spiritual energy, she employs her body and biographical elements as social metaphor for her works. Other than video, film and photography she has been involved with since 1970s to record her performance work, she also utilizes other representation styles such as sculpture and video installation.
