Ute Meta Bauer

Ute Meta Bauer is Founding Director of the CCA-NTU Center for Contemporary Art, Singapore which opened October 2013, and working as a curator of exhibitions and presentations on contemporary art, film, video, and sound, with a focus on transdisciplinary formats. Bauer was Associate Professor at the MIT, Cambridge, USA, and also served as Dean of Fine Art at the Royal College of Art, London from 2012-2013, and she was curator of The Future Archive, Berlin, 2012; Artistic Director of the 3rd Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art, Berlin, 2004; and Co-Curator of Documenta11 (2001–2002). From 2002-2005 Bauer served as Founding Director of the OCA in Oslo. She edited numerous publications as ‘Intellectual Birdhouse. Artistic Practice as Research’ (co-edited with Florian Dombois, Michael Schwab, Claudia Mareis) (2012). In 2012 ‘Ute Meta Bauer: Interviews 1992–2010’, Marius Babius (eds) was published.
