gruppo A12

gruppo A12 (1993-2004) was a collective of architects founded in Genoa, Italy. gruppo A12 worked at the limits between architecture, urbanism and contemporary art, seeking to experiment possible hybridisations between different practices of communication and tools of research. Architectural projects, graphic design, installations, videos, web-sites, written texts, interior architectures, exhibition design, teaching, compose the heterogeneous set of expressive instruments used by gruppo A12. The group constantly searched for interaction and collaboration with outside persons who might contribute to enlarge the angle of analysis and intervention on the contemporary urban condition. The members of gruppo A12 were Nicoletta Artuso, Andrea Balestrero, Gianandrea Barreca, Antonella Bruzzese, Maddalena De Ferrari, Fabrizio Gallanti, and Massimiliano Marchica. For this project at the CCA, gruppo A12 collaborated with architect Francisca Insulza.
