Toshitaka Kamai

Toshitaka kamai is Director of Research Center on Landslides, Kyoto University. After the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake of 1995, Kamai started to study a slop condition at residential area. Kauai’s research focuses on an investigation of the mechanism of landslides caused by earthquake/heavy rain, and tries to develop an observation system of landslide disaster. Kamai also studies the methodology for assessing the potential of slope failure in urban areas.
