Hiraku Kore-eda

Hiraku Kore-eda was curator of The Museum of Modern Art, Kamakura & Hayama, and currently Professor of Musashino Art University. He graduated with BFA from Philadelphia College of Arts in 1987, and with MFA from Columbia University in 1989. He worked as curator of Sezon Museum of Art (1991 – 1999), and of Sezon Museum of Modern Art (1999 – 2003). Some of the exhibitions he has curated are: “David Smith” (1994), “Abstract Expressionism” (1996), “Pop Art Spirits” (1998), “Allegory of seeing” (1995), “Art-ing Tokyo, 1999: 21 x 21” (1999), “Elderly people’s home project” (2001), “Ben Nicholson” (2004), “Aspects of Modern Art in Japan” (2007), “Kazuo Yuhara” (2008), “Yasuko Iba” (2009), “Primary Field” (2007), and “Hidetoshi Nagasawa” (2010).
