Jiro Ogawa explores dynamics in his work by utilizing space of a specific location, as he realized in his project ‘The Centennial Memorial Hall’ of Nippon Institute of Technology. With a sudden appearance, Ogawa’s unique architecture changes the landscape, and draws out a new aspect of the place. Ogawa also works on art project including the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale that he has participated since 2003. He is a professor of Nippon Institute of Technology.
