Center for Contemporary Art Kitakyushu
Christodoulos Panayiotou (b. 1978 in Limassol) lives and works in Limassol, Paris and Berlin. Originally studied dance, theater and anthropology, his work is formed in a range of media. Panayiotou’s work employs historical and cultural issues as the starting point, and develop them into a range of questions such as our memory, national identity and its structure. Sometimes quoting the events and matter in his homeland Cyprus, his work explores the environment where the viewer contemplates how both the public and individual act in society.
